A softly spoken voice floats out of the false moon, bathing her in its blinding light and soothing inflections.
‘Press your body to the ground,’ it says. Coffee has not heard the voice in seven years but she knows to trust it implicitly. Frozen in the lights of a 4x4 vehicle as it devours the distance between them, she retreats deep into the amniotic memory where the voice dwells.
It is 1985 again and she is a kitten, barely five days old and blinking into the bright light as her eyes open for the first time. Two of her brothers are tumbling toward her, locked in a ferocious mock fight. Her mother gently repeats her instruction and on a swept night in 1992 her body obeys just as the 4x4 runs her over.
Coco is the best hider, the best fighter and the fastest runner. His siblings are beginning to resent him and soon he finds himself being excluded from their games. With nobody to play-fight he takes his frustration out on the timid Coffee. It is an unfair match but he doesn’t care, she is one of them. His teeth draw blood and howls of pain.
‘Don’t sit next to bully boy,’ his siblings begin to chant, whenever he enters the room. Vilified and humiliated he retreats into himself.
The first months of life pass happily for Coffee until a human couple want her to live with them. Fearful of being separated from everything she knows and loves, she calls out to the only one wilful enough to help her, the one who attacked her, the one she secretly admires.
Coffee’s fear is Coco’s salvation as he responds to her plea and soon they are both being taken away to begin a new life together. Free of his resentful brothers, Coco embraces life once more and discovers that his sister is far more than just a wall flower.
Written for adults and told through the eyes of feline protagonists COCO and COFFEE, this is a novel for anyone who ever held an affection for animals and imagined for a moment what it would be like to experience the world through their eyes. An initial sibling rivalry gives way to a protective bond of love as fate entwines both their destinies but when Coco’s darkest thoughts lead him increasingly into an isolated and tortured inner world, only Coffee’s calming influence can temper his growing delusions. When she goes missing years later he must confront his deepest fear and take extraordinary action to bring her home. Their tale unravels over the course of three nights as one struggles for redemption while the other struggles for life itself.

I am an avid reader, always have been since I was a young child however I found this book somewhat difficult to follow. The first few chapters are written from different view points of characters which I found interesting yet again very hard to follow. I would not go as far to say this book isn't well written but the flow of the chapters needs to be re arranged a little and maybe I'll be able to follow it better.
Now this story is somewhat sad which did pull me close to tears but I just got so confused by the different perspectives that it made it very hard to truly enjoy this novel and actually finish it.
I won't go as far to say that I will not be recommending this book to anyone but I will tell be people it is rather hard to follow and may be a little harder to read for people who aren't avid readers such as myself.
I was able to receive this product in exchange for my honest, unbiased review and I hope that you will consider purchasing one after reading my review.

Coco Coffee The incredible true story edition by Richard Gray Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This is my third attempt to focus on a book and follow the story. This book is much lighter than the first two but I have still had a hard time maintains my focus to be able to read for any length of time. I gave this book a 3 star because it did make me laugh, sigh, and have tears but it was a little disjointed for me....or perhaps it is all my own issue with focusing.

I purchased this book at no cost or at a reduced rate for my unbiased opinion.
As a cat rescuer, I get in orphaned kitties and bottle feed them. When I saw this I knew I had to have it! So well I got it! Soo stinking cute! Though it really make me think about taking the babies from their momma...me ( it is hard on me as it is as I fall in love with each baby. This kept my interest and really enjoyed it!! It is a great read!! I did receive this at a discount to give a honest review but had I seen this before I could review it I totally would of gotten it.
I couldn't follow the story. I couldn't make sense of it as a series of essay-type chapters either. I have no idea what the author wanted to convey or portray. It wasn't clearly about cats except for the first "chapter". I was seriously disappointed and, to tell the truth, couldn't finish it. Someone else may praise it to the hills and back and that's fine with me. I found it overblown, wandering and given to purple prose. I was given a discount for agreeing to write a review
I have 4 cats. As a cat owner I wanted to like this book, I really did. When it was offered to me at a discount in return for a review, and I immediately requested and downloaded it. I got lost a bit because within the first four chapters, there were four different points of view. It was a bit hard to follow. I found myself having to keep re-reading sentences to figure out what was being said. Being that I had to keep going back, it was a bit of a slow read. It did however, make me feel bad for kittens taken away from their mothers too soon.
Also, the formatting of this book was really off. There were some spacing issues and I tried to read it from multiple kindle devices.
The voice of this book changes from chapter to chapter to a different character. Some of the language in how things are described is odd and felt out of place. The story is cute and has some sad moments for sure. I felt like I found myself skimming through to grab the meat out of the story rather than hanging on every word like I do with some books. I love animals and enjoyed the idea of a story about cats but didn't enjoy the execution as much as I thought I would. I think mainly because I would spend the first couple of pages of each chapter trying to figure out who's perspective the chapter was written in. Maybe some indicators other than vague chapter headings would help the reader.

I received this item at through a promotion in return for my fair and honest review.
Don't judge a book by its cover! The cover of this book is what grabbed my attention. It's adorable and the title is catchy. It was definitely something I wanted to read right when I saw it.

Now, I wish I could say that I loved this book. It is definitely a cute story through a felines perspective which is a great idea. However, it was hard for me to follow. The book changes perspectives quite often and I found myself trying to keep up with who it was that was talking.

This book was a little sad and pulled at the heart strings. I wish it would have been easier to follow. I had a hard time finishing this book and it didn't really hold my attention well. I might recommend this book as a cute story for cat lovers but I definitely won't pick it up again. I received this in return for my honest and unbiased opinion.
This story is very unique in that I have never read anything similar before. It is beautifully written and captures the spirit of the cats and other animals extremely well. I have to admit that I am heartbroken after finishing the book. It really had me fighting off tears. I absolutely loved the pictures that were included. Coffee truly is incredibly beautiful! I would love to see a picture of Gin as well. I loved the Gin chapters because her personality was captured so well. I just can't stop feeling sad after finishing the book! One other thing I should mention is that the ebook had some formatting errors that were annoying, but that seems to happen sometimes when writings are converted to ebook format. There were words that rantogether, < if you see what I mean. Overall, a good, yet heartbreaking, read! I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
